Never tell everyone how much money you make

When I got my first really good job, I was so excited. I told my friends, some relatives, basically everyone.

At first everyone was happy for me.

Then slowly things started changing. People would ask me for money all the time. If I said I couldn’t help, suddenly I was selfish.

One friend even told me I’d changed because I refused to lend him money.

The funny thing is I wasn’t even rich 😂 I just had a decent salary and my own bills to pay.

Now I keep my financial situation private.

I still help people when I can, but I don’t feel obligated to explain what I have.

My advice: You can be generous without letting everyone know what’s in your pocket.
