Sometimes an item in the basket is just something to think about

Online baskets can become temporary lists: things to compare, gifts to consider or an item waiting for the next payday. Then reminder emails and countdown messages arrive as if putting something in a basket was a firm promise to buy it. A saved list could be more useful if it stayed separate from checkout pressure. What features help you make a considered choice? Price history, stock information and an easy way to compare dimensions might do more than another urgent reminder about the basket.

A wishlist and a basket serve different purposes. Which information would you want saved while deciding, without needing to start checkout?

Saved items could retain the selected size and colour without implying a commitment. Losing those choices makes returning to a considered decision harder than it needs to be.
