Does every small task really need another app?

Ordering lunch, paying for parking, checking a timetable: small tasks sometimes begin with an app download, an account, and a verification code. That might make sense for something used every day. For a one time visit, it can feel like doing paperwork before buying a sandwich. Where does convenience turn into extra work? There are also people with old phones, limited data, or a battery almost at zero. Which services handle this well, and what would a genuinely easy alternative look like when someone cannot or simply does not want to install the app?

A readable mobile website can be enough for a simple menu. The useful part is seeing the food and prices, not creating another password.
