The appointment is fifteen minutes. Getting there takes half the day.

The time written on an appointment confirmation rarely captures the whole commitment. There is transport, finding the entrance, checking in, waiting, and getting back to work or home afterward. That can be especially awkward when somebody else depends on your schedule. This thread is about the practical side rather than medical advice: which details would make appointments easier to plan around? Accurate waiting estimates, clearer directions, somewhere to sit with a child, or something completely different? Share what would remove the most friction.

A useful distinction might be whether the problem happens before arrival or after checking in. Those need different kinds of improvements.

Please leave out names, appointment references and medical documents. General descriptions of the booking or waiting experience are enough for this discussion.
