When did a lunch break become another hour on the phone?

A lunch break can disappear into messages, errands and a quick scroll before the food is even finished. Putting the phone away sounds straightforward, but sometimes it is also the only chance to answer family or sort out an appointment. There is a difference between having a break on the schedule and feeling like one actually happened. What makes a lunch break feel like yours? Curious about small, realistic changes, especially from people who eat at their desk or have very short breaks.

It would help to hear how long your break actually is. A suggestion that works with an hour may be useless when you have fifteen minutes.
