Does your weekend need a plan, or fewer things on the list?

There are weekends that fill themselves before Friday has ended, and others that disappear while deciding what to do. A detailed plan can be helpful, but it can also turn ordinary free time into another set of deadlines. Housework and caring responsibilities make the idea of a completely free weekend fairly unrealistic for many people. How do you choose what actually belongs in those days? Interested in the little decisions and compromises, including what gets left until later without causing a bigger problem.
